Celebrating 10 years!

Friday, June 27th, was our 10th anniversary! It's amazing to me that ten years have past already. It's gone by so quickly, but at the same time it feels like we have always been together. To celebrate we took a weekend getaway with Ben and Kim and NO kids. It was SO relaxing and wonderful! Rocky Point has always been a favorite place for us. As usual it did not disappoint.

Paradise.

Mmmmm, mangos.

Anniversary dinner at La Curva. Chris bought me 2 roses from the suave rose guy.

The lucky recipients of our anniversary getaway. Who wouldn't want to hang out with us?

Chris and I were involuntary early risers. Our room got very bright in the morning. I think work and Peyton have trained us both. Chris would wake up between 5 and 6am. I woke up at 7:30 every morning.

It was kind of annoying, but we enjoyed sitting on the beach together just the two of us. The morning breeze was gorgeous.

On Sunday morning I rolled over and stretched and suddenly felt a very puffy bottom lip. I jumped out of bed to take a look. I couldn't believe it! I wore sunscreen the whole time. It felt larger than it looks and it looked larger in real life than it does in this picture. I just wish my top lip got it too so I could see how I would look with both lips filled with collagen. Preston thought it was pretty funny when I told him about it.

I have been very blessed with such a wonderful and giving husband. I really couldn't have married a better man. I feel his love for me everyday and appreciate all that he does for me and our children. We get along so well and have so much fun together. He's always putting my needs before his own. I look forward to many many more years together and all of eternity!

Chris,
I truly hope that I have made you as happy as you have made me these past ten years! It's been the happiest time of my life! I love you with ALL of my heart and more! It's indescribable.

A Must-See Indeed.

I loved it. What an amazing couple. Their trials, strength, faith and love are truely remarkable. I was moved and am thankful for that. Go see it if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed.

Girls Retreat

Leah, Melissa, Autumn, Doris (Chris' mom)

Autumn and Me

Me and Kim

The whole group, exept you can't see Leah's face. The whole row on the right is prego!

Our very first girls retreat started out a little rocky. First we had some driving/direction confusion. That was resolved when we arrived at our place of retreat. Then we all decided where we had chosen to stay (Resort Suites of Scottsdale) looked way too much like a bunch of apartment complexes. And the pool, well, not resort like at all. There were four of us pregnant and not one of us wanted to stay and the guy was not willing to argue. Smart man. He would have lost even if he tried. So we called Embassy Suites and got a great summer deal. It ended up being nicer, cheaper and free breakfast included!
We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory (YUM!) and stayed up till midnight talking about the most important things in life. You know, like, So You Think You Can Dance (did anyone else notice Jamie's package?! wowzers!- just testing to see if anyone is really reading all of this. But seriously, did you see it?) celebrities, politics and other stuff that tends to be totally random and inappropriate. Kim and I actually ended up suffering from heartburn all night (forgot the TUMS) and talked and laughed till 4:30am! We finally had to make a bet that who ever talked again after the air kicked back on would have to buy the other person lunch. It worked after two tries. I just had to call a time-out so I could crack a few more jokes that came to mind during our 3 minutes of silence. Well it wasn't exactly silent since laughing was allowed. Anyway, after 4 1/2 hours of sleep it was time to eat breakfast and hit the pool. Then we shopped and hardly spent a dime and ate lunch. I'd have to say for how scary our retreat started out it sure did end up being really fun! Oh, one more thing. Kim and I must be packing a lot of heat because we kept our room at 60 degrees the whole time and never once got cold. The other poor girls sat bundled up in blankets to keep warm while we chatted. I've been so hot ever since I got home. Suddenly 76 degrees is no longer a treat. I'm not sure if I can do this pregnant thing ever again. I don't like feeling like I am high maintenance.

Swim Lessons- last day

Ellie and Peyton have been taking swim lessons from Mrs. Amy for the past 3 weeks. Today was the last day so I thought I better be sure to take my camera. I took tons of cute pictures of Peyton and then BAM! My camera battery dies! Isn't that just always the case?! I'm so sad I didn't get him floating with the noodle and going down the slide. Not to mention how I didn't get ANY of Ellie swimming! So SAD!

Peyton was so happy and smiley the whole time at swim lessons! All the moms commented on how cute and happy he always is. He is growing way too fast! I think I would have been a little emotional seeing how big and capable he is if he was our last. I'm so glad he will get to be a big brother!

This is the only picture I got of Ellie. She didn't want me to take a picture of her pretty face. Again, still so mad and sad that I didn't get any of her swimming! She is quite the little fish and I am so proud of how well she swims!

When we got home I put our fully charged back-up battery in our camera and took a picture of them together, all while wishing so badly that I had the back-up battery with me while they swam.

Lesson learned.

wii! the wii is fun!

Chris bought us a wii on a whim yesterday! We wanted to get it last year for Christmas, but couldn't find it anywhere. I know most of you know this already, but, HOLY CRAP! It is SO fun! There are so many games out there that look like so much fun! I love that there are tons of games rated E for everyone!

I really really really want this one next:

What other ones are totally worth getting?

Rocky Point: May 29th-June 1st

We left on Thursday May 29th, Chris' 32nd birthday.

We unloaded all our gear, put our suits on and headed down to the beach.

Me, Chris' mom and his sister Leah made an earthquake cake, per Chris' request.

It smelled like roasted marshmallows and we were all worried we burnt the cake, but it was delicious!

The view from our balcony.

Preston caught a fish ALL BY HIMSELF! And it wasn't your ordinary fish. It had cool stripes!

Peyton had a fun time covering Taylor with sand.

The sand fight:

and he's outta here.

Chris' brother, Aaron, got stung by a sting ray! He was out of commission for quite a few hours afterwards. We were all glad when the pain finally stopped (for the most part) so he could join the fun again.

On Saturday night Preston fell asleep on the couch. I noticed his lips looked extra lucsious.
On Sunday morning he woke up and they were HUGE! They totally got sun blistered!
This picture was taken a few hours after he woke up and they had actually gone down a bit.
His bottom lip was the worst. We had to call him bubba gump for awhile.
I of course felt like a horrible mom and blamed myself for not doing a better job of keeping him dowsed in sunscreen. He was always out fishing or swimming.
Our trip was wonderful and one that we look forward to every year. It's a great way to kick off the summer fun! We were delighted to have our good friend's Aaron and Julie and their little girl, booked their trip the same weekend we were going! We had a great time.
I can't wait to go back with just Chris in a few weeks for our anniversary and say,
"No, Gracias" every 2 minutes.

Sneak Peek

We went to Rocky Point last week and had so much fun!

I'll be posting all about it soon.

Is it just me, or is my belly ridiculously huge for having 15 weeks left!?!
I wonder if it looks this large in person?
