Daddy/Daughter Campout and Date night

Camping with your dad and a bunch of other girls. No stinky mean boys! What more could you ask for?!
~

Chris' parents invited Preston and Peyton to spend the night so I could enjoy a quiet evening. Sooo, I invited Kim to go on a double date to dinner and then afterwards over to my place for a movie. It was a romantic date, just us and our newborns!

Cutest little date I ever saw! He minded his manners the whole time! (minus some toots, poop and spit-up)

lucky number seven

My children just keep getting older. This time it was Preston's turn. Sunday birthdays aren't always the funnest, but we managed to make it a fun day anyway. First was church, then lunch which consisted of corn dogs, tater tots and corn- per Preston's request. Then Grandma, Grandpa, Aaron and Lori all came over for some Village Inn birthday pie! A few hours later we were off to a fancy family dinner to celebrate one last night with Grandma and Grandpa Shelley before they leave on their mission tomorrow morning.

Carson and Grandma Shelley

Happy Birthday buddy bear! We love you so much! You are such a wonderful boy! Hope your year being 7 is the best!

Heaven on Earth

I have been in heaven these past few days. I forgot exactly how wonderful it feels to have a baby in our home. Everyone is really enjoying Carson. I love seeing Chris and our kids gush over him. I cannot say this enough, I am so glad we decided to have another baby! I feel so blessed. I have a wonderful husband who shows me he loves me everyday and FIVE (holy cow) beautiful children! I don't know what I did to deserve all of them.

Thank you Heavenly Father. Thank you.

Can you please help me to remember these feelings I am having so strongly when Peyton flings his yogurt across the table at Ellie. It's really hard to keep these feelings close to my heart in those moments. Especially when Ellie screeches really really loud.

getting close!

I stole this from another blog I loved it so much. It made me feel like maybe (just maybe) I have a crafty bone in my body after all!
Baby is moving around tons. He should know that if he really wants to stretch that he has to come out first. My ribs and pubic bone only have so much give.
Some facts from my previous pregnancies:
*Two of my babies have been born ON their due dates.
*Two of my babies have been born 8 DAYS LATE.
I personally think it's time to have a baby BEFORE my due date.
Any guesses?

Big Preschool Boy!

Peyton had his first day of preschool on Tuesday. He is so excited to be part of the big kid world. He marched right in and sat down where he was suppose to. On Thursday when his second day of school rolled around he was excited to go again. Hopefully the excitement doesn't fade!

My baby girl turns 9!

Happy happy Birthday Taylor dear!

We love you so much!

The celebrating began on Saturday with a trip to Golfland Sunsplash with Taylor's awesome and super fun dad, Preston, and their friends, Bailey and Mckay. They had so much fun! On their way home they went to Dairy Queen and brought Ellie, Peyton and I all a treat home as well. Bailey and Mckay gave Taylor some jewelry, a watch, lotion, lipgloss, fake nails, body wash, and a loofa. She was in girly heaven.

Sunday, her actual birthday, she turned 9 years old! After church she opened her other presents (her main big one was a day at golfland/sunsplash) which were a pair of pants and a snake webkinz that she has been dying to have. Grandma and Grandpa came over to celebrate with us and we had some delicious cheesecake (Taylor's request).

My sweet Peyton got bit on the eyelid on Friday night by a mosquito and it majorly swelled! It lasted for 2 days and just kept getting puffier and puffier. Today it looks almost back to normal.

Please Pray for the Nielson's.

Please, please, please pray for my sweet friend, Stephanie (NieNie) and her husband Christian. Yesterday they were in a plane crash. As far as we have been told Christian has a broken back and both have severe burns, Stephanie being worse off having over 60% of her body burned. We are all in a state of shock and ask that you please pray for them and their family. Our ward is having a fast for them tomorrow and anyone who can and would like to please also fast.

I hope that Stephanie and her family don't mind me spreading the word about this tragic accident and I apologize if any information is incorrect. I just feel so strongly that the more prayers and faith out there on behalf of this dear family the better. Thank you.

First Day of School!

Both were really excited, despite the looks on their faces in this picture.
They even hopped right out of bed at 6:40am!

Peyton was also very excited and kept saying,

"I go to school mom!"

Good thing I went ahead and signed him up for preschool with a lady in my ward twice a week. I hope he loves it as much as he thinks he is.

And they're off. They grow up way too fast.

Ellie, my young learner kindergartener. She goes in the afternoon for 3 hours. She kept saying she was so excited to go to school everyday like Taylor and Preston.
Peyton is going to miss his partner in crime!

Ellie got right in line. She looked just slightly nervous as she started to walk to her classroom.

My kids are growing up so fast! It blows my mind that all of them are in school and that baby number five is on his way! Ahhhh! I'm just a kid still, aren't I?

Ellie meets her teacher.

The whole family went with Ellie to meet her teacher, Mrs. Hagar, tonight. She found her spot, cubby and colored a picture. Her teacher seems really nice. She wore one of her cute new outfits and is so excited to start school. It's hard to believe she is old enough to go to young learners!

Officially an OLD mom.

So 29 isn't really that old, but I am starting to really feel like a seasoned mother. Taylor gets way more phone calls than me. She has been on the phone so much the past couple of days talking to friends about what teacher they got this year. She is so excited that quite a few of her good friends got the same teacher as her. She's also been talking about what their new school clothes look like and what they are wearing on the first day. It's fun to hear her and it just makes me laugh-that was me not too long ago!

Camping July 17-20

Ellie getting a little ride with her daddy.

Preston riding a motorbike for the first time. He did a great job and had so much fun.

Taylor waiting patiently for her turn. She did a great job too. I somehow missed getting a picture of her riding.

Peyton played so hard everyday. He finally crashed and took a little nap while we went and got more water. It was a nice break from chasing him around. He can be such a rowdy little boy!

Chris took the kids down to Bear Lake and they fished and played around for a little bit before a big storm came through.

Gunner had a great time running after us when we rode our quad. He was so exhausted. It was fun having him up there with us.

I didn't do a very good job of getting a bunch of good pictures. I wish I would have thought to have someone take a family picture. The trip felt like a lot of work and it wasn't quite cool enough for me. I missed my bed terribly, but the kids had a good time and that's what's important.

Happy Birthday Peyton and Grandma!

The Birthday kids.

Peyton got a Fire Breathing Dragon, Diego in a Dune Buggy and a Diego Wii game.

Grandma loved her new jewelry that Chris picked out and it made her cry when she opened it. Peyton loved the green squishy ball from Grandma and Grandpa.

Peyton thought it was great that we all sang to him and Grandma!

I am so grateful to have this cute sweet little boy in our family! He is so fun and happy!
Happy Birthday to both of you!

Kangaroo Claws

Last night I had a dream that if the light hit my belly just right you could see right through it. It was amazing and disturbing. Our little boy was SO cute and looked big and ready to come out. His feet were adorable, but he had kangaroo claws for toenails. I watched Real TV right before bed and it showed a guy getting attacked by a kangaroo and all his gashes all over him. I'm gonna rely on this picture and the absence of kangaroo claws on my other four babies.
I'm really enjoying being pregnant and feeling him move. I'm trying really hard to savor that feeling. At the same time I am getting very anxious to see, hold, nurse and snuggle this little guy.

Spoiled by Oma

Tonight my mom took me and the girls to Build a Bear. It was their very first time ever! They had so much fun choosing their doll and then all the cute accessories. Thanks Oma for a fun night!!!
We LOVE you!!!

Just plain weird.

Chris was playing the wii with our neighbor friend, Marc, and all of a sudden they heard a snap! and then water pouring out of the front of our fish tank, cracked from top to bottom. I was in the kitchen and I'm pretty sure I heard the snap too and then Chris calling for me to grab towels and a bucket. The funny thing is, Chris and Marc were playing the Cabela's Hunting game and Marc said his bullet must have ricocheted and hit our tank :)

No more diapers till September!

This exciting news comes almost 2 months late:

I have not changed a single diaper since the middle of May!

He even stays dry ALL night! This is the first time in almost 9 years that we have not had a child (or two) in diapers. It's a strange, but welcomed feeling!

But to be honest, I can't wait until I get to start changing diapers again. I even started buying newborn diapers for this next little guy.

Hooray for Peyton!!!

4th of July!

Our Fourth consisted of:

Relaxing in our own made up oasis.

Ellie posing in every picture and changing into 4 different swimsuits in 1 hour.

Me looking more and more unattractive as the day progressed. First, there was me "trying" to be helpful all while wanting to swear over the blazing heat and the heavy camping chairs (they are unexpectedly heavier in 116 degrees). Second, forgetting to button up my pants (although, Chris says it's more of a turn on). And third, me in a bikini without any mumu type covering. It's quite a sight.
The funnest part of our 4th was trying to convince Taylor that she wasn't going to die if we waited until AFTER dinner to go get Krispy Kreme donuts!!! She didn't believe us, but surprisingly she survived.
We decided to skip going to any fireworks and be happy with the one's we could see from our house. Turned out to be a good call since none of our kids seemed to care. And when we did start seeing some fireworks, Peyton ended up being terrified!
It was funny/sad.
Oh, and we had a BBQ like everyone else in America!
