Everybody needs a bath some time.

It's a dirty job, but somebody has to do it.

Fun in the sun.

Trampolines are so much more fun when you add water!

I remember as a kid adding soap to it as well.

Shhh, our little secret.

Tuesdays and Fridays.

Every Tuesday and Friday Peyton waits patiently at the kitchen window for the garbage man.
Tuesdays are extra special because he comes twice, once for recycle and once for yard clippings.
And if we are really lucky, on Fridays we will see garbage fall on our sidewalk.

drawbacks to blogging

My last onion bagel down the drain.
sniff,sniff.

While I was having fun blogging, Peyton was having fun washing my last bagel down the drain. And I just thought he was washing his hands...I know, I should know better by now.

Easter

Better late than never.

This year Easter came about 3 weeks too early,in my opinion. Really it should've been this Sunday so I'll consider myself posting early. And the rest of you who posted already were really really early! Anyway, the Easter Bunny is so considerate, that he brings our baskets to us while we are at church on the years that we have 8:30 church. The kids dressed in their best. The girls even picked their dresses out themselves with very little persuading from me. And every year the boys get a new tie. We came home to fun baskets, the kids dyed eggs and we relaxed until it was time to go to dinner at Grandma and Grandpas. Dinner was absolutely wonderful! And the company divine. There's nothing better than a house full of family on holidays such as this!

Happy Birthday Heather!!!

You are such a wonderful friend and I am so grateful that we have managed to stay in touch for so many years!
Did you know that we have known eachother for over 18 years?!
That makes us sound SOOO old!
*Thanks for being the only one who wanted to play with me on the playground when I was the new girl at school!
*Thanks for all the laughs in Mr. Bones class!
*Thanks for sticking up for me whenever Vernee was rude to me! (she probably just thought I wasn't good enough to be your best friend)
*Thanks for the all expenses paid to summer camp with you and to your mom for a card in the mail EVERY single day!
*Thanks for not laughing at me when I was hanging out at your house when my mom called to tell me my hampster died and I bawled my eyes out!
*Thanks for not getting mad at me when I dropped a huge bowl of water all over your parents nice wood floors!
*Thanks for being I think the only other girl to skinny dip at one of your birthday parties!
*Thanks for being the friend that got their very first bra with me!
*Thanks for letting me eat at your house even when you weren't hungry!
*Thanks for letting me spend the night all those bazillion times!
*And for not calling me a baby when I brought my blanket with me every single time!
*Thanks for daring me to slide down the water fall at Riverside park in my clothes so that I would always remember how embarrassing it was to have a wet muddy butt and your mom yell at us for wondering off!
*Thanks for telling me how beautiful I was all growing up even though I didn't really believe you, coming from one of the most talented beautiful girls I've ever known!
*Thanks for all the memories and so many more that I didn't mention!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love you so much and will forever and ever!
I am so happy that you have such a wonderful family and a happy wonderful life!
Oh, and so so sorry for busting a gut laughing when you did that front flip off my trampoline onto your stomach and landed on the brick steps! It really did look quite amazing and funny!
Good thing my mom was there to comfort you since I was clearly not in the right state of mind to do so myself.

fat.tired.grumpy.

A week ago we went to the park on a family outing.

I didn't want to go. I wanted to stay home and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Chris thought that was lame since it was a "family outing".
So I sat there and pouted. With my big gut hanging out.
(I swear there is either 2 in there or I grew more organs)

Chris was happy and played with the kids and took some pictures.

I on the other hand was very irritable.

Especially when Chris thought it would be fun to take pictures of my cleavage.
(yay! I have boobs again!)

So I confiscated the camera and took some pictures of my own.

Preston did a really good job flying Grandpa's kites with hardly any wind!

I didn't stay grumpy for very long when it was mentioned that we could go to Rosa's and get a beef stuffed quesadilla and chips and salsa!

MMMM! Pulls me out of a bad mood every time!

the new swing.

While Chris was working on enclosing our chicken coop,

Preston made himself a swing.

Great idea, but not quite the right location.

"Wook mom! A airpwain!"

(those are Preston's shorts he's wearing, silly kid)

We've had our eye on a particular branch in our pine tree for a few years now.

Kid tested.

Mother approved.

Child Labor

Chris and Preston painted our fence out back a couple weeks ago.
I was gone doing massage and Chris said he didn't accomplish much while I was gone....such a kidder.
Chris helped until about half way and was done.
Preston pressed on and finished the job himself!
He was in heaven!
Looks great boys!

Skip to a week after that:

Taylor and Preston started to paint the other side and after about 15 minutes I went and checked on them and they were a mess!

No pictures for that one. I was way too mad.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to get Kilz off your body?!

My little Ellie Morgan.

I love this picture.

(October 10, 2007)

She's so stinkin' cute that you don't even notice the trashy unkepted backyard.
Go ahead and blow up the picture to see her in all her cuteness.

Homework with the chickens.

Taylor had a friend over and they found the perfect spot to do their homework.
Personally, I would have chosen the trampoline, but really I'm just so glad that my homework days are over!

Preschool Zoo Day!

Ellie loved holding Miss Peggy's hand.

I love the Zoo!

Such a fun time and the weather was perfect! Peyton was in heaven and wore himself out. Ellie loved all the "aminals" and thought they were so cute and now wants a groundhog for her very own.
